CK Builders and Seeds of Service

This week, instead of talking about new home construction or finding your next home improvement project we want to talk about something better. This year, CK Builders is partnering with Seeds of Service to do a sub-for-santa for the less fortunate. Further details on that will come soon, but we want to say a little bit more about this terrific organization and why your favorite general contractors will be working with them as we get closer to the holiday season.

Who Is Seeds of Service

Seeds of Service has been around for over 20 years. Originally it was just a group of individuals who wanted to help out the less fortunate during the holiday season. Fast forward to 2019 and the amount of good they have done seems almost immeasurable. Seeds of Service wants to help everyone they can but specifically single parents, children, underserved populations, and the like. To accomplish this Seeds of Service works hard to both educate these communities about the resources that are available as well as well as provide physical relief and assistance when possible.

Last year, Seeds of Service raised over $14000 which provided 20 families with a holiday meal, provided sub for Santa to 80 children, granted 8 personal development scholarships, and created over 200 “lovebags” which included basic hygiene supplies & socks to impoverished elderly around the valley. CK Builders is proud to partner with such a great organization and we hope to be able to do even more good this year.

Sub-For-Santa

One of their favorite project of the year always comes during the holidays. Seeds of Service’s sub-for-santa is one of their most successful (and certainly most rewarding) projects of the year. This program helps parents who are unable to provide for their children with both basic means as well as presents under the christmas tree. It is a special time where you get to see the joy on a child’s face who would not have had that kind of Christmas had you not contributed. You might think it is a little early to get hyped out a Christmas service project but we couldn’t disagree more. At CK Builders, we want to give back to the community that has made us who we are and Seeds of Service is just the way for us to do that.

Please, go to Seeds of Service’s website and see how you can get involved. Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming fundraiser and how you can help give back to those in need.
